のみならず世界数十か国へ届ける原料メーカーです。
1977 年に沖縄県石垣市で創業し、その後、熊本県に大規模工場を新設して事業を拡大してきました。2025 年には、自社農地で有機JAS 認証を取得し、薬草園として整備しました。
さらに、国際的なオーガニック化粧品認証基準「COSMOS」に準拠した化粧品原料の開発・製造にも取り組んでいます。
Coral International Inc. manufactures raw materials for health and beauty foods, for cosmetics, as well as natural materials for everyday use, such as construction and agricultural items, fertilizers and animal feed. The company delivers these products not only to Japan but also to dozens of countries worldwide.
Coral International was founded in 1977 in Ishigaki, a city in Okinawa, Japan's southernmost prefecture. It later built a large-scale factory in Kumamoto Prefecture in southern Japan and then steadily expanded its business. In 2025, a company-owned area of farmland obtained Organic JAS certification and was developed as a medicinal herb garden.
The company is also engaged in the development and manufacture of cosmetic ingredients that comply with COSMOS, the international standard for organic and natural cosmetic products.

創業の地・石垣島にある約2 万坪の土地を、これからどのように生かしていくべきか考え続けてきました。そこには、風通しがよく遠くまで見渡せる自然の恵みに満ちた環境が広
がり、バナナや島らっきょう、月桃、ハイビスカスなど、さまざまな植物が自生しています。
この場所から生まれるものが、人と自然をつなぎ、誰かの健やかさや喜びにつながってほしい。そして、訪れる人、関わる人、地域の人々を幸せにする場所であってほしい。
そして、この土地の可能性を未来へつなぎたい、そんな想いを託すことにしました。
We have continued to think about how we should make use of the approximately 60,000 tsubo* of land (*about 218,200 m2 or 21.2 hectares) we own on Ishigaki Island, the company’s founding place. The area is an open, breezy space with miles of unobstructed views, radiant with the blessings of nature. All sorts of plants grow naturally in this little nature reserve, including bananas, Island shallots, shell ginger, and hibiscus, to name just a few.
It is our hope that the living things growing here will connect people with nature, and bring them joy and good health. We also hope that this place will make everyone happy—not only visitors, but also every stakeholder and the local residents. We therefore decided to pass on our thoughts and hopes of connecting this land’s potential to future generations.

沖縄の離島は台風の通り道にあたり、農作物を安定的に供給するためには多大な労力が必要だといわれており、荒れ地ではないかと危惧しておりました。
しかし、実際には丁寧に整地され、多様な植物が生き生きと育つ様子を目の当たりにし、この土地が秘める新たな可能性を強く感じました。そこで、私たちは、粗原料のまま流通させるのではなく、化粧品原料としての可能性を探ることにしました。
土地および原料のオーガニック品質に関する確認・評価については、原料メーカーである株式会社Q‘s＆Co.（佐賀県）の協力のもと、実施しています。
The remote islands of Okinawa lie along the path taken by typhoons. In the past, tremendous efforts were needed to ensure a reliable supply of agricultural products. We initially worried that this land might be barren and unproductive.
However, the area was meticulously cultivated and thriving, populated with diverse, healthy, and vigorous plants. Witnessing this, we became convinced of the new, exciting possibilities hidden there. Rather than distributing the plants unprocessed as raw materials, we decided to explore their potential for use as cosmetic ingredients. The organic quality of the land and the raw materials are being confirmed and assessed with the cooperation of Q’s ＆Co., an ingredient manufacturer based in Saga Prefecture in southern Japan.

迷い肌に、うるおいのコンパス。乾いた肌には、一滴のオアシス。
薬草園の奥へ進むと、ひときわ目を引くタビビトノキの群生が広がっていました。
その姿を目にした瞬間、日本を代表する化粧品原料にしたいと強く感じました。
そこで文献を調査したところ、タビビトノキの葉の抽出物には、抗酸化作用およびチロシナーゼ阻害作用など、多くの機能性が報告されていることが分かりました。
これらの特徴を生かし、オーガニック・ナチュラル化粧品の国際基準「COSMOS」に準拠した化粧品原料に仕上げました。フェイスケアをはじめ、ヘアケアやボディケアまで、幅広いカテゴリーの化粧品に配合できる、多機能な化粧品原料です。
COSMETIC INGREDIENT Traveler’s Palm (Ravenala madagascariensis) Leaf Extract
A compass of moisture for unsettled skin that has lost its balance: a single drop creates an oasis for dry skin.
On continuing to walk farther into the medicinal herb garden, we discovered a magnificent cluster of Traveler’s Palm trees spreading out far and wide that immediately caught our eye. The minute we saw it, we absolutely wanted to make it a top cosmetic ingredient that would embody Japanese sensibilities.
We conducted a literature review and found that traveler’s palm leaf extracts reportedly demonstrate numerous beneficial actions such as anti-oxidation and tyrosinase inhibition.
We took advantage of these characteristics and created a cosmetic ingredient that complies with COSMOS, an international standard for organic and natural cosmetic products. This is a multifunctional cosmetic ingredient that can be formulated into cosmetic products that cover a broad range of categories, from face care to hair care and body care.

琉球竹のしずくで、ととのう素肌。澄んだツヤ肌。
1965年に「沖縄県の竹」に指定されたリュウキュウチクは、山地の尾根や山頂、斜面などに群生し、特に石垣島の於茂登岳や、西表島の古見岳、御座岳などで発達しているとされ、朝源薬草園でも、南国の光を受けながら青々と力強く生育しています。
日本各地に生育する竹やササの仲間については、その成分や機能性に関するさまざまな研究が行われ、食品や化粧品をはじめとする幅広い分野で原料として活用されています。
私たちは、そうした竹や笹の特徴と比較しながら、石垣島の自然が育んだリュウキュウチクに新たな活用の可能性を見いだし、研究を進めています。
COSMETIC INGREDIENT Ryukyu Bamboo (Pleioblastus linearis)

Ryukyu Bamboo was designated as the official bamboo of Okinawa Prefecture in 1965. It grows in clusters on the Prefecture’s mountain ranges, summits, slopes and other areas, and is noted to be thriving especially on Mt. Omoto on Ishigaki Island, as well as on Mt. Komidake and Mt. Goza on the Iriomote Islands. This bamboo is also growing exuberantly and abundantly, bathed in tropical sunshine, in our Chogen Medicinal Herb Garden.
Bamboo and bamboo grass that grow in various parts of Japan are also being investigated through different studies on their ingredients and functions, and are already being utilized as raw materials in broad-ranging fields such as food and cosmetics.
While comparing these characteristics of bamboo and bamboo grass, we discovered new possible applications of Ryukyu Bamboo, which is prospering in the natural setting of Ishigaki Island, and are conducting research to discover new ways of maximizing its potential.
