Development Philosophy
21世紀は「植物の時代」と言われています。
それは、食糧不足、気候変動、環境汚染など、人類が直面する課題を解決する鍵のひとつが「植物」にある、という考えを示す言葉です。
人類は古くから、植物を衣食住に利用してきました。しかし近代農業では、生産効率を重視するあまり、農薬への依存や品種の画一化が進み、生態系の安定性が損なわれてきました。その結果、植物の成分変化による本来の有用性の低下が懸念されています。また、残留農薬、微生物汚染、トレーサビリティの欠如、産地偽装といった安全性に関わる問題も顕在化しています。
こうした課題を背景に、当社では大学および各種研究・検査・評価機関と連携し、グリーンケミストリーの手法を用いて、植物が持つ新たな有用性を科学的に分析しています。そして、確かなデータに基づくオーガニック化粧品や機能性食品の開発を推進しています。
21世紀を「オーガニックプロジェクトの時代」とするため、全力を尽くしてまいります。
The 21st century is called the Age of Plants, showing an understanding that plants are one of the keys to solving the various challenges that we face, such as food shortages, climate change and environmental pollution.
Humans have always used plants for food, clothing and shelter. However, modern agriculture’s focus on production efficiency has accelerated our dependence on pesticides and reduced the number of crop varieties, undermining ecological stability. As a result, there is a concern that the manipulation of plants’ chemistry will reduce their inherent usefulness. Problems relating to safety have also emerged, including pesticide residues, microbial contamination, lack of traceability, and mislabeling of point of origin.
To address these challenges, ITRIM JAPAN collaborates with universities as well as research, testing and evaluation organizations, and employs the Green Chemistry approach to scientifically analyze a plant’s potential utility. We also use established evidence to promote the development of organic cosmetics and functional foods.
We will do our utmost to make the 21st century the age of organic projects.

The hexagon used with our logo represents both the benzene rings that constitute many plant compounds, and tortoiseshell which has symbolized longevity since ancient times. The logo declares our sincere commitment to craftsmanship that underpins and enhances traditional knowledge of medicinal herbs with today’s science.
